I think it's obvious that your view point is slightly slanted in the direction of Favre, and I don't disagree with you on some points. However, as a PACKER fan, and not just a FAVRE fan, some things need more consideration in why the Pack has slipped to a 4-5 record.

1. The O Line has been injury ridden since day one and, at this point, couldn't protect Deanna Favre, let alone Brett or AR.

2. At least at some point, the running game turned around for Favre to allow some relief from the pass rush. This year, Ryan Grant has surpassed the 100 yard mark in a game only once (against the pourous Colts run D).

3. Right now, the Packers D stinks. Plain and simple. You can try all you want, but this has nothing to do with AR or Brett Favre and has everything to do with getting whipped up front. The D Line has been dominated, the linebackers can't run to the ball free, and they have been gashed all year (i.e. Vikings 2 times, Tampa, Tennessee, do I need to keep going??

Let's also not blow this whole Favre thing out of proportion. In true Favre form, he is leading the league in INTs. Yes, they are 6-3, but name ONE good team they have beaten. Even their win agains AZ is suspect when Favre threw 6 TDS against the water boy due to so many injuries in the AZ secondary. The fact is, the Jets have lost to every half decent team they have played this year (NE - without Tom Brady and SD). They even lost to the crappy Raiders. And their wins?? Favre has beaten powerhouses that include the Bengals, Rams, and KC (a combined 4-23 record).

Just for fun, let's also not forget all of the great things Brett did for the Packers and us fans for so many years. Then, in the blink of an eye, he throws the team that we love so dearly under the bus and drags them through the mud for selfish reasons. I wish as much as anyone that Favre was still a Packer, but the reality is that he is not. Why sit this guy on a pedestool when he has already revealed his true feelings about US?

Why doesn't anyone ask TT, "If you are so sure that Aron Rogers is going to be your starting quarterback and take the team into the next season and you have so much confidence in him, then why wont you release Favre? Why be afraid of where he goes if you believe Rogers is a better quarterback?" Simple answer is this....It is a power play. TT knows that Brett is better than Aron, but he does not want to back down...It is all EGO and this ego will get him fired! What is Greenbay going to do when accident prone Aron Rogers gets hurt in week three and all they have is 2 rookies fresh out of college to replace him. They will then be in a mad dash to find a veteran QB when they could have had Favre back. Have a reporter ask TT this and watch him fumble for an answer.

Why does everyone think that Brett Favre is the only way the Packers can get to the Super Bowl, If thats true, Why didn't they make it last year?? The guy doesn't even know who he's throwing the ball to. It just gets whipped in the air and hopefully a Packer catches it. Face the facts boys and girls, the man is a has-been.. Every team needs to start again sometime. It's time for a re-building of the team in Green Bay. Let's get on with it, and let Favre go home.

This is getting a little crazy. If Brett comes for sure he will start no doubt about it. If I where Rogers I would demand a trade because there are plenty of teams that need a QB. The Packers will get more trading Rogers than Brett. Not many teams going give much on 1 maybe 2 season guy no matter how good he is.

Brett is full of shit if he thinks he can go to new team and learn a new offense and be as productive as he has been. Maybe with the right coach like Andy Reid or Mike Holgren. Jon Gruden may be an option but I don't know of any team in the AFC that has a head coach that has worked with Brett before.

Some have said the Jags may be a good choice but please man. Why would Brett play for a team that is destined to suck this year. Harbaugh may be a good coach but the cards are stacked against him this year. I don't think Brett has enough to turn a franchise around.

But hell man I can't believe all the Packer fans are so hung up on Brett to the point they would rather have a shot at one good season and perhaps screw up the locker room for years to come. I give Rogers a lot of credit for the shit has gone through and if Green bay would back this kid I bet they would realize he can play.

Is Thompson willing to cut off his nose to spite his face? How many years, good and bad, has Favre given the Packers organization and fans? He didn't take off looking for money when the team was successful. Do you really want to push him out and have him take another team to the Super Bowl? Who is it that owns this team? Maybe Thompson should go somewhere else and create "his" team.
